Journey alerts is the new intelligent way to avoid congestion.
Register a route, and you will get a text or email alert if there is a delay on your route which exceeds your chosen journey time threshold.
You can do this for your daily commute or for a one-off journey.
The cost of the technology behind this service is provided free by Leeds City Council. Emails are free. The SMS provider will charge you 25p for each text sent to you. The beauty of the Journey alert system is that you only get a text on the days when there is a problem!
All you need to do is register your email address (and phone number if you want texts), define your journey by clicking on the component road links, and then say when and how you want to be told of problems.
Note: this is a trial of a groundbreaking congestion busting system, unique in the UK and probably Europe.
